Evangelism

Evangelism—sharing the Word of God with others—isn't an exclusive job of just pastors, missionaries and evangelists. As part of the Great Commission, spoken of in Mark 16:15, Jesus tells us, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Evangelism is a calling for all Christians. This commandment of God can sometimes seem insurmountable. However, it's more than a commandment. Evangelism is an honor, a joy, and a pleasure! It is also important to show God's love; our actions shout louder than our voices. We are living examples of the grace of God, and our attitude toward others should impact their lives.

Whether you start in your own neighborhood or travel on a mission trip to another country around the world, Mikado Baptist Church has a place for everyone to get involved. Prayerfully consider becoming involved in one or more of these evangelism ministry opportunities: church-wide visitation & soul winning, jail ministry, mission trips, Vacation Bible School, world-wide missions.

Look around you; people are hurting. The world is searching for earthly answers and earthly pleasures to fill the void that only God can fill completely. They are looking for all kinds of truths, where the truth is only One (John 3:16). Who is going to tell them about the reason for our hope (1 Peter 3:15)?
