Hey Mom and Dad, At Mikado Baptist Church we are thrilled about our Parent Ministry. Without you we wouldn't have a Student Ministry (comments like - "I brought you into this world and I sure as can take you out of this world" help remind us of the part you play). In the SWORD Ministry there is much to offer to our parents. This section of the website is dedicated for you, the parent. We trust you will find the resources below to be helpful and informative as we persue to glorify God in every part of His ministry at MBC! This section includes sermon outlines from our Wednesday night series and insightful articles of interest. I am constantly doing research to find information that will be helpful to you as a parent of a teenager. One article I have found is written by a youth pastor and will inform us of the dangers of MySpace. I have also found information on current issues such as movies, music, friends, and video games.
This section will be for you to find permission slips, medical forms, calendars, informational sheets, etc. I think this will be a great help to you.
Here you will find all the information you need for the upcoming conference. Guest speakers, cost, registration card, schedule, and a brochure to share with someone else.
Each month we publish the Parent Pipeline as a way of communication to the parents of the SWORD Ministry. Information will include upcoming calendar, special events, youth staff, tips on teens, review of the ministry, and so much more. Our desire is for every parent to be in the know on what is going on in this exciting ministry of MBC.
From the desk of the youth ministry we want to recommed some great resources for you as a parent, as a family, and even some for your teenager. These books will range from discipleship in empahsis to practical in teaching. If you have any that you would like to recommend please send an email to pgrant@mikadobc.com. Our goal would be to presnt these tools as a great resource for your spiritual growth.
